Kassai Capital takes a 70 per cent stake in BNI and launches one of the country’s largest short-term funds

<p data-start="216" data-end="605"><strong data-start="216" data-end="605">Kassai Capital, a Collective Investment Undertaking Management Company established by Gemcorp Capital in 2024, will proceed with the capitalisation of Banco de Negócios Internacional (BNI) in the amount of 50 billion kwanzas (approximately 54.1 million USD), through the acquisition of 70 per cent of the bank’s share capital, a transaction that will be carried out via the Fénix Fund.</strong></p><p data-start="607" data-end="878">The confirmation was provided this Thursday, the twentieth, to Forbes África Lusófona by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kassai Capital, Walter Pacheco, on the sidelines of the presentation of Kassai Curto Prazo, a special open-ended securities investment fund.</p><p data-start="880" data-end="1196">“The intention is to make the bank more robust and improve liquidity in order to provide the best services and products,” stated the executive, emphasising that the operation aims to strengthen BNI’s stability and competitive capacity within a banking market that demands financial soundness and operational agility.</p><p data-start="1198" data-end="1673">Launched with an initial value of 19 billion kwanzas (20.5 million USD), Kassai Curto Prazo is positioned from the outset as one of the largest Angolan funds within its segment. Its strategy is based on rigorous and secure investment solutions, aligned with the different savings profiles of domestic investors.
