Our Team
Walter Pacheco is the Chairman of Kassai Capital, where is responsible for overall management of the firm. He holds extensive experience in the Angolan financial sector, having presided over the Angolan Stock Exchange (BODIVA), as well as serving as Director-General of the Public Debt Management Unit of Ministry of Finance (MinFin - UGD), he has also worked at the Comissão do Mercado de Capitais (CMC) and in national banking. He has a degree in Economics and Management from the University of the West of England and a master’s in international finance from the University of Sussex in the UK.
Daniel Santos is an Executive Director, responsible for portfolio management and operations. With more than ten years' experience in the finance sector, he was part of the founding team of Standard Gestão de Activos, serving as Investment Director, and has worked for various national banks, including the BFA where he played a significant role in the implementation of the Treasury Bond Preferential Operator Agreement, which made BFA the market's first Market Maker. He has a degree and a postgraduate qualification in Business Management.
Horácio Chiquemba is a Non-Executive Administrator responsible for supervising management, strategically contributing to the development of Kassai, with over a decade of experience in the areas of investments, finance, and business strategy. He currently leads the Structuring and Strategic Planning area at Gemcorp Angola, with previous experience in the investment banking sectors of Banco Atlântico Europa and Banco Millennium Angola. He holds a degree in International Economic Relations from UPRA-Angola, a postgraduate degree in Project Management from ISEG-Portugal, and a master's degree in Investment Strategy and Internationalization of Companies from ISEG/Portugal.
João Ngumba is responsible for the legal and compliance department at Kassai Capital, he holds a law degree and an advanced postgraduate degree in Securities Law and a postgraduate degree in Corporate Governance, he served as a Senior Technician at the Capital Market Commission (CMC), collaborating on regulatory development and supervision. He was Legal Director at Eaglestone Capital – SGOIC, S.A. and Director of the Legal and Regulatory Department at BODIVA, where he led significant initiatives within the capital markets legal framework.
